On the 19th of September, the Embassy of Tajikistan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, together with the cultural Tajik association Somoniyon, hosted a spectacular celebration in Amsterdam to mark the 34th anniversary of Tajikistan’s independence. The evening brought together ambassadors, diplomats, EU officials, international organization representatives, and members of the Tajik diaspora — all gathered to honor this momentous occasion.
The event opened on a moving note as the national anthems of Tajikistan and the Netherlands filled the room, performed by tenor Shorukh Yunusov and masterfully accompanied on piano by Jannat Huseinzoda — a performance that reflected the spirit of national pride and the achievements Tajikistan has made over 34 years of independence under the vision of its leadership.
